Choosing the Best Gate Type for Your Property
Designer Gates offer a diverse selection of automatic driveway gates, each designed to meet different needs and preferences. Explore our range of gate types to find the perfect solution for your property.
SLIDING GATES
Space-saving Sliding Gates
Slide open and closed along a track, usually along the fence-line at the front of the property. Ideal for driveways with limited clearance inside the property or to save driveway space.
Requires Flat Surface
Needs a straight fenceline to slide in behind and a flat concrete foundation to move across. Our team can take care of a foundation for your gate to slide on.

SWING GATES
Difficult Shaped Entrance
Perfect for entrance-ways that can't accommodate a sliding gate or have angles involved.
Requires Space Inside
Needs ample clearance on the side the gate swings open to avoid hitting objects.
CANTILEVER GATES
Uneven Section
Sliding gates that are suspended above a driveway. They operate without ground tracks, supported by a cantilever system to the side of the entrance. Ideal for gravel, uneven or slopped entrances.
Requires Additional Support
Cantilever gates need additional structural support to achieve the cantilever design.
SECTIONAL SLIDING GATES
Space Efficient
Gates that slide in sections, including around a corner, making them ideal for confined spaces where there is not enough room for a single panel sliding gate.
Requires Even Ground
Needs a level and stable surface along the property line to support the gate and its track system.
TELESCOPIC GATES
Maximising Driveway usage
Telescopic sliding gates have multiple overlapping panels that retract into a compact space, making them excellent for properties with limited space.
Requires Clearance
Telescopic gates require less space overall, but need clearance for both the gate opening and the area where the gate panels will stack.
